Dave is currently in his Oral Surgery rotation. In the last 2 1/2 weeks he has extracted 60 teeth. On his first patient he pulled 18 teeth. On a different day it was 14 teeth, and later that same day he did another 13 for a different patient. It is very sad to see these men and women loose their teeth at such young ages simply because they were never taught the importance of brushing and flossing. Add that to never going to the dentist until you're in so much pain that your tooth probably can't be saved. Some of these people have not been to see a dentist in years, and when they finally show up in Dave's chair, their mouth is so bombed out there is no chance in saving most of the teeth, thus producing photographic examples as displayed above.

How could you post that without throwing up? I'm about to.
Wow, I wonder if that person who had that teeth feels better or worse without them.
Better, Madeline, much better. They are out of pain. Of course, now they have to "gum" their food. Takes awhile to get through steak that way.
