We spent the morning enjoying the beauties of Turkey Creek - a woodland in Iowa City conveniently designated for frisbee golfers. Dave and his dad, Mark, did most of the throwing while Christine and I strolled along taking in the scenery. She couldn't help but notice our two hubbies had similarly cute butts that moved in the same manner when they walked...
For those of you unfamiliar with frisbee golf, this in a "drive."
The flat state of Iowa certainly has its redeeming parts. Beautiful!
We also visited Mormon Handcart Park. Many Latter-day Saints wanted to join the rest of the Church in Salt Lake City, however the railroads went no further than Iowa City, IA, and so that is where they took the trip by foot - allowed only 17lbs per person. Many died along the way, but some never even made it that far...
