So I just thought I'd give the family - especially Dave's - a glimpse into what their son is up to in dental school. Now remember, this is only a glimpse, in fact, only an after-hours glimpse, since the rest of the time he is busy doing root canals on patients, or preparing their mouths for dentures. After hours Dave is a mentor in the Simulation clinic - a clinic in which the 1st and 2nd year dental students practice procedures on manikins rather than real patients. Out of his class of 79 students, Dave is one of only four selected to mentor this clinic, so here he is explaining to a younger student how to perfect a procedure... of course, as I watched, I came to the conclusion that her "eagerness" had less to do with perfecting her skills than it had with keeping the cute mentor by her side.

Go Dr. Dave! Question...do the 'fake' patients scream when a student hits a nerve?
I am so impressed with Dave and so glad you guys had a fun time on Labor Day. Your pictures are so cute!
I bet you guys are so happy as each year goes by, happy that this fun journey through school will soon end and that a new journey will takes its place. Great Job!
