Daddy is done with Dental School!!!

Hurray! Hurray!

Daddy is done! He has

been gone

for the last 5 weeks on a dental rotation in Des Moines, IA. It is a two hour drive which makes it just a little too long to commute daily, but close enough to come home on the

weekends. Poor mommy. Stuck at home with only me... She really missed daddy. Anyway, last week was daddy's last week! And, simultaneously, his last week of dental school. Mommy thought we should surprise him, so when he walked in the door he got a little, well, surprise.

Nobody ever told mommy how labor intensive (well, I guess time intensive) the cupcakes would be. Mixing every color of cake batter and every color of frosting in different bowls. Spooning in the batter to individual cupcake holders while trying not to drip everywhere. The whole thing took a few hours, but, I'm proud of mommy; it's been a while since she baked. With no husband and a baby without teeth, why should she?

So... Congratulations daddy! The four years are over. Of course, any sane person would take that degree/license and go get a job, but no. Not daddy. He thinks specialty school will be fun. Well, maybe we can have more cupcakes at the end of the next 2 years. That should make it worth it.
