Daddy is a dentist! 
Officially. Grandpa Thuet flew in Thursday night and flew back home Friday night - just a few hours after graduation. It was wonderful to see him and I know daddy really appreciated having his own father with him tocelebrate this momentous occasion (though just between you and me I'm sure graduation was just an excuse for Grandpa to come see me!) I tried to attach a video of daddy receiving his degree; I figured Grammy Thuet would want to see her little boy in a dress and watch someone drape a big purple scarf on him. Unfortunately I couldn't get it to upload; I'll try again later.
Do you notice the pretty purple accent necklace around his neck? Daddy, along with 8 others in his class of 80, were awarded a special academic honor the night before. They became members of Omicron Kappa Upsilon [dental honor society] and were given their "keys" at a banquet the night before. I didn't get to see because mommy and daddy left me home with a babysitter - my first evening babysitter. I wasn't happy about it, but that's OK. Whatever separation anxiety trauma I suffered that evening, I punished mommy for during the night. The moment she came in for my regular feeding I refused to let her out of my sight. But I'm afraid after only 2 hours fatigue got the better of me and she finally went back to bed. I'll get her next time.

Congratulations Dave! We are so proud of you! I wish we could have been there for graduation. And congratulations Paige for surviving a babysitter. They really aren't so bad!

Congrats Dave (and Abby - cause really, the wives deserve credit as well!) Abby, I just read a book called "These is my Words" by Nancy Turner and the whole time I was reading it I was thinking "Abby would love this book!" It's a story about a woman in the the Arizona Territories in the late 1800 and it was excellent. Give it a try and let me know what you think!
