Phew! It's been a busy month. I'm
only 10 months old but already I'm becoming a seasoned traveler. After daddy graduated dental school, our little family went on a road trip. Well, more appropriately, a track trip, since we took a train.
We ended up in Washington State and found that all of mommy's family was there (or, almost all of them.) There was so much to take in, and I was perfectly content to watch. I had to be careful, however; if I wasn't, 13-month old Thomas might mistake me for a chair and sit on me, or perhaps he would play his favorite game of "Is-Paige-a-doll-or-not-and-will-she-fall-over-if-I-push-her?
Collin was a little safer to be around, but then again, he did try to pinch out my eyes a couple of times...
There is only 5 months between the three of us, but boy are we different. Thomas is crazy! He runs, climbs, trips, on everything, no to mention he love to pull things behind him on a leash (like the dog,) but he is always laughing and I love to watch him.
Collin is much more composed. He loves to laugh and smile as he crawls around and enviously watch Thomas
walk, but Collin's real focus is simple: food. That boy can stuff an entire half a banana in his mouth at once! Fistfuls and fistfuls, one after another. After dinner he crawls back to the highchair area to see if he can glean any scraps off the floor - he and Lilly (the dog) have to compete.Like I said, I'm content to just watch, and to be honest, seeing two hooligans move has solidified my previous convictions: I have no intention to crawl. None; no matter how much anyone tries to encourage or entice me. I think I will just skip straight to walking.
Luckily there was Lydia to add a touch of feminine spice. I was a doll to her as well, but at least she only played dress up with me and didn't try to sit on me. She is older and more mature than us babies. She's going to be a doctor when she grows up, and currently she is working on removing "Toe Jam" from between people's toes.
Do you see the photo mommy took of us "playing" in the play house? I was playing in there all by myself when Thomas decided he'd join me, followed by Collin. Well, you can see where I ended up!
