A visit to Pendleton

While visiting Spokane, we were able to make a visit down to Pendleton. We walked through the Underground (a guided tour showing the tunnels under the city that have been restored with mannequins and props to show their original use.) My aunt runs it, so we wandered through un-guided and snapped a few shots of us in the good ol' West, gambling, eating ice cream, admiring meat, and even a little bar tending - or at least Paige did.

At my grandmother's house I remembered a secret hiding place I discovered years ago. Since that time,
many of us cousins leave notes and photographs to each other.
I have not looked in
the box for nearly 8 years, but I found this old picture of a friend and myself I put there in 1999 when I was 15 years old(with braces!) I showed the hidden cubby to my mom and what we cousins have done with it, and she loved it! She especially loved reading the little notes from
my sister Molly when she was a little girl, along with candy she left there for us to enjoy - it is now over 10 years old; I don't think anyone will be eating it.

It was a brief, but nice visit, where four generations were able to get together.

What a fun little visit! I loved your pictures. I would ask Evie to find the baby in each picture. I forgot all about that secret compartment but, then again, I didn't really leave anything in there either. I'm sure grandma loved your visit and seeing Paige at the same time. I loved the generation photo too.

Emily and Brooke just recently added their first note to the treasure. Take heart, it's never to late to join the elite club. You're already invited.
