To eat or not to eat... orange and yam chicken




Not to eat. Blah. I thought it had potential; I love sweet potatoes, and I've had them served with marshmallows and orange, so.... Well, I was wrong. We waisted the whole things. Other people may like it, but Dave and I have found neither of us care much for fruity meat - and I don't particularly enjoy chicken anyway, and Dave hates yams, so, yeah. I won't make this again. Still, if it sounds like something you'd enjoy:
Line the bottom of your crock pot with sliced yams. Mix flour, salt, nutmeg, cinnamon, pepper, and garlic powder, then coat chicken in the mixture. Set chicken breast on top of the sweet potatoes. Combine Cream of chicken soup, with orange juice, orange zest, brown sugar, and flour. Pour over chicken. Cook. That's it. Some yummy ingredients and spices, but alas, not worth it.
