This morning:
Doctor: "We need to have a baby this week. How about Thursday?"
Dave and me: (gulp), "Uh, OK."
I'm already dilated to a 3, and 85% effaced so induction shouldn't be too stressful on the baby or my body. In fact, as of 2AM last night, I'm not totally sure I'll make it until Thursday.... Until last night my contractions have all been minor and I just assumed they were all Braxton Hicks (apparently not.) As of last night they no longer feel like just Braxton Hicks.
Thanks to some seminar, the Dental School was closed today so Dave had the day off. He came with me to my last doctor appointment. Then we went with our neighbors, the Justensens, to Wilson Apple Orchards to walk around, pick/eat apples, and devour their scrumptious hot apple turnovers. They are coming over tonight for fresh apple juicing (I love my juicer - thanks Dad.) Dave is now gone out with the boys for a last game of frisbee disk golf while I relax and put together, yet another, "last minute to-do list." We're excited!
