Baby Update II...

Dave here again. It is important to note that Abby's previous post was written at an emotional low point. Since then, the excelent doctors here at the UIHC have ruled out most of the more significant complications. Paige is quite stable, and is rediculously healthy and happy compared with her neighbors in the NICU. She's been given a priesthood blessing, and we feel confident she'll be coming home with us soon. Abby is also doing well. The biggest challenge is the emotional pain brought on when I drag her away from Paige to make her sleep. At present, Abby and I are still in a Mother/Baby recovery room, which is essentially a three star hotel with unlimited room service. The real challenge will be tomorrow when we expect Abby to be discharged. No more bed a few paces from the NICU. At least we live 7 minutes away. I was fortunate to be able to rearrange my schedule at school to be here full-time with Abby and Paige. I shouldn't have to go back to school till Monday. Thanks to all those who have shown your love and support through email, blog post, phone, gift, and visit. I don't think we realized how blessed we are to be associated with all of you. Stay tuned...
