My next menu

My next menu is primarily taken from the Lion House Classics (borrowed from my friend Laura.) A few recipes I also found in a little treasure at the library, hidden behind more popular books. It is a collection of stories and recipes from the Great Depression; those recipes are so simple - only a few basic ingredients, I may not even mention them, but it is a treat to read.

Note: All recipes are subject to change (and they may be created on any day, in future weeks instead, or not at all.)

Orange Chicken

Apricot chicken (OK, one of these fruit birds will wait until next week.)

Shepherds Pie (I'm trying a new recipe)

Roast Beef with
Yorkshire Pudding photo

Carrot and Apple Bisque

Additional treats:
Sour dough bread... maybe
pop-overs
buttermilk pie
Baked Alaska ( this one will be a challenge!) Photo
Steamed carrot pudding
pear and lime salad
wassail

Abby's Lunch: (Dave does not prefer such dishes, but I think they're fun so I make them for myself.)

Blueberry Soup

Danish Apple Soup

Grilled fish

We usually have one night of homemade pizza, tacos/enchiladas, spaghetti, and/or breakfast. I don't include these though.
